NanoImpactNet's second integrating conference, “For a healthy environment in a future with nanotechnology”, to be held at the CHUV in Lausanne, from Wednesday 10 to Friday 12 March 2010. Information on the preliminary programme is available on: http://www.nanoimpactnet.eu
The call for abstracts is open for important sessions on the interaction of nanomaterials with biological, environmental and physical barriers, quality control in nanomaterial research, and tools for impact assessment. Information on abstract submission and registration for the conference is available on: http://www.nanoimpactnet.eu
There will also be a session on the emerging theme of nanomaterials and technology in the food industry, to which all stakeholders will be invited, from academia, industry, regulators and civil society. Participants also have the possibility of suggesting their own sessions. The first NanoImpactNet conference earlier this year welcomed 200 participants; we expect more that 300 in 2010.
NanoImpactNet is the European network on the health and environmental impact of nanomaterials. NanoImpactNet’s nucleus is a consortium of twenty-four of Europe’s leading academic and government laboratories working on nano-toxicology and nano-ecotoxicology. It is a European Commission FP7 coordination action.
